Beeswax Candles

Beeswax CandlesBeeswax has been in use ever since honey has been collected from beehives. This beeswax is then used to make candles, art, and is even used for medicinal purposes. The honeybee itself, more specifically the worker bee, produces beeswax with the help of which they build the honeycomb. There are special glands on the honeybee on their abdomen’s underside with which they secrete wax that bees then chew and then mould into a comb. Upon drying, the wax will then harden.

Beeswax when compared to Paraffin Wax

The candles made of pure beeswax have the following advantages over those made from paraffin wax:

  • They are more economical since they last 5 times longer than the candles made from paraffin. And while they cost more, they actually provide great value for money.
  • They happen to be better for our environment as they are completely natural. Paraffin candles, on the other hand, are made from petroleum fuel and thus require foreign oil. However beeswax candles are made from a completely natural and renewable resource.
  • Being natural, they are also better for one’s health. Paraffin candles are known to create indoor pollution since paraffin has been treated using carcinogenic chemicals. Such toxic chemicals would make breathing around them harmful. Pure beeswax, on the other hand, is hypoallergenic, and therefore completely safe. Additionally, beeswax emits negative ions that help to clean pollens, smoke, and dust from all around.
  • They make beautiful candles. Apart from the physical beauty, beeswax candles also burn a flame brighter than the paraffin candles.

Beeswax when compared to Soy Wax

Even candles made with 100% soy are known to have a few problems. The problems are identified below:

  • Soy candles will contain a small amount of paraffin. This means that they will release some toxins and carcinogens into the environment, although not as much as paraffin candles.
  • Many soy candles consist of fragrances and dyes that happen to be poisonous. Additionally, even adding essential oils will not be a safe option when combined with candle fragrances.
  • Most of the soy candles are not entirely environmentally friendly. Beeswax, on the other hand, is known to be completely environmentally friendly.

The Purpose of Safety Containers for Kirra’s Pillar Candles

Beeswax Candles

Kirra makes sure that all their Pillar candles come with individual safety containers into which they can be safely kept. In order to ensure safe burning, our unique safety tin provides stability, protects the bottom of the candle from dents and scratches, and reduces the risk of damage to your table.

And since the beeswax candles are already long lasting, these safety containers will help to ensure that they remain looking great as well, and you can use them as you wish and whenever you want.

Beeswax candles are a great option, and since they are so environmentally friendly and safe, they can be used as much as you want without causing you or the environment any harm. In fact, with the emission of negative ions, these candles actually end up providing you with a lot more benefits and keep the environment around you peaceful and clean.
